nightmares

Chasing me, it's always chasing me.

I don't even know what it is.

It just chases me.

Corners me,

suffocates me,

drives me into a dead end.

I cannot take this fear.

I had a dream that the car i drove fell backwards into a body of water. Water entered and took over my vision.

I was going to die,

and I knew it.

Someone unlocked the doors, and I was like

Thank God.

Rushed to open the car door.

Everything sinking.

No oxygen.

Can't breathe.

And I woke up grasping at the air,

wanting to cry.
