Flavour

I've just eaten the most AMAZING lunch.

Remember Coffee and Friends? I think I've mentioned it once in my blog post :D Well, it had a makeover and now it's called Joy Luck Club. Still pretty much awesome, with the location and the openness of everything and the free Internet access :D

But now, they've got a killer menu.

Come over :D I guarantee slightly lower prices, great atmosphere, great service and GREAT FOOD :D

And a great view too. XD

So my set lunch of the day had...

1. Sarawak laksa

OMG. :D :D :D you have to try it out; it's simply amazing. I love the taste of the soup, with its really hiong smell. The placement of food is also quite easy on the eye. It has fried egg slices, fresh prawns and chunky chicken pieces in it. Yes you heard meh: CHUNKY 8D and they're not scared of serving you a little more at a little less money! :D
Oh the soup. XD tambah limau sikit and together with the herb, spice, santan and prawn paste (?) mix I was so happy. XD

2. Iced lemon tea
Oh sweet cold iced lemon tea trickled down my throat in times of spiciness XD It wasn't really spicy but the temperature and the chilli together was hot.
Iced lemon tea saved me :D
It's served in this plastic cup which is a sort of cylinder with a stem. XD And they really make use of the lemon. Hahahaha.

The last item. Or well, items. XD My dad ordered a set for himself so I tried both desserts.

Ready?

3. Pulut hitam + ice cream OR Sago + gula melaka
8D 8D I literally flew a little off my chair at the first taste of each dessert.
I had the sago + gula melaka first. OMG! OMG!
The santan and the gula melaka was so good! They could've served it cold but it was really really good. A perfect way to end my meal; spicy and hot---cold and sweet and sour---sweet and creamy dessert. HOLY MACKEREL, yo. :)
The pulut hitam and ice cream was EVEN BETTER. XD It just arrived, and my dad and sister had a go at it before dragging me away from looking contented after a bite of sago to grabbing a spoon and trying the pulut. The presentation was AWESOME 8D
Can you imagine, reddish black steaming hot pulut under fresh cold vanilla ice cream?
I took the spoon they offered me and scooped an even portion of both extremes. I put it in my mouth.
BOY WAS IT GOOD. XD The two complimented each other perfectly; hot and cold, black and white, and sweet together.
Just like a couple living in my condo hahaha :D

Can you guess how much it is?
Take a wild guess.
RM15? RM 13?

Even better. RM 8 yo. XD
They aren't even paying me for advertising shamelessly. But. Whaddahell are you waiting for?! XD Go go go! Hahahahaha :)
